Charlotte Bailey is a Birmingham-based,  Jamaican-English artist

She graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in English & Japanese, and currently does freelance illustration.

Since 2015 she’s been co-ordinating her local branch of the international graphic novel forum Laydeez do Comics, and hosts workshops with Afrofutures UK.

She has self-published and contributed to a number of anthologies and journals, including a graphic essay on Afrofuturism for ‘How We Get to Next’, and is editor of LDC’s first comic anthology ‘Hometown’.

Her work has been exhibited in the Cartoon Museum in London and published in the widely celebrated ‘Inking Women: 250 Years of British Women Cartoon and Comic Artists’.
